It was with horror that we watched video of the Teacher assault at Parkland High School in Winston-Salem recently. There is no excuse for such bad behavior from a student. Our hearts go out to the teacher. Please know that you do NOT have to withstand assault for a paycheck! As a CTA member, you are covered with a LEGAL PROTECTION PLAN the day you join us.

  • πŸ“’New structure: We have established American Teachers Alliance (ATA) as a separate new nonprofit company and will be applying for 501c4 status soon. 501c4s have more freedom to be involved in the political process than do 501c3s. The new Carolina Teachers Alliance will be a DBA of ATA in North Carolina. So we will be giving up the β€œc3” status and CTA will no longer be categorized as a β€œpublic charity.” The new CTA will effectively become a β€œc4” under the ATA umbrella. Your current membership will be unchanged through this transition. This structural change will allow us to serve our national and state members each more effectively.
